We were formed by our Life President, David Bryant, in 2000 to provide people interested in the art of woodturning with a place to discuss, increase and improve their skills.
This is through monthly meetings with demonstrations and competitions for two groups  of turners which we call turners and advanced turners.
Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Thursday monthly at the Village Hall Plumley starting at 7:30pm where to ensure everyone can hear and see the demonstrator we have excellent audio and visual facilities with the demonstration being projected onto a large screen.

Approximately once a quarter we hold an informal "Talk N Turn" evening where our lathes and tools are available for all to use. They are also an opportunity to discuss projects and get advice from other members.
Membership is £40 a year payable in April. Visitors are asked to contibute £5 per meeting but if you decide to become a member then this is deducted from your membership
During the year we attend a number of external events to promote woodturning and the club.
These are also opportunities for member to sell their produce.
We are an associate member of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB).
